Aries Power makes money greener with 19.3-kW solar array on New York bank
Aries Power of Albany, New York installed 43 solar panels on the roof of Ulster Savings Bank‘s location in Red Hook. This solar initiative is part of the bank’s commitment to reduce its environmental impact by integrating sustainable and green business practices.
With this 19.3-kW system, the bank is expected to have an annual offset of 28% of electricity. Any excess energy produced will be fed back to the central Hudson grid and returned to the bank in statement credits. New York State provided Ulster Savings with a one-time credit through NYSERDA to offset any upfront costs.
Aries Power is specialized in the development and services of renewable energy. Each of the 450W panels has its own microinverter that enables monitoring and troubleshooting on a cloud-based interface accessible via a computer or mobile phone.
