Construction begins on 44-MW portfolio of Maine community solar projects

ReVision Energy has begun construction in Maine on the first of 13 projects acquired by Summit Ridge Energy (SRE). The community’s solar portfolio will total 44 MW and operate under the Net Energy Billing in Maine program.

“We are proud to partner with Maine’s largest solar contractor and look forward to providing thousands of local residents and businesses with monthly utility savings generated entirely from clean, renewable energy,” said Garren Bisschoff, SRE’s VP of Business Development. .

SRE finances the projects while Revision takes care of the development, registration and construction of the portfolio. To date, school districts, municipalities, hospitals and local businesses have subscribed to ReVision projects.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to partner with one of the nation’s leading owner-operators of solar energy facilities,” said Sam Lavallee, CFO of ReVision Energy. “This 44-MW portfolio of solar farms will drive local economic growth, create high-paying jobs, significantly reduce Maine’s carbon footprint, and strengthen our energy independence,”

The solar projects are expected to be commissioned commercially between 2022 and 2023.
