IDEEMATEC extends 15-year system warranty to its single-axis solar trackers

IDEEMATEC now offers a 15-year system warranty on its Horizon L:TEC solar tracker solution for structural and mechanical components.

In addition to the 15-year system warranty, IDEEMATEC guarantees the construction against perforation corrosion for a period of 25 years — based on the corrosion classification of the project.

The new two-module portrait (2P) tracker, which was launched last October at Solar Power International, features a patented self-locking technology that holds the modules in place against torsional gallop caused by extreme wind loads. The tracker integrates two-sided modules without shadows and can accommodate large format modules.

Panels can remain in the stowed position, at a zero degree angle, against wind speeds of up to 180 mph. With 30% fewer parts than the average system, installation time is reduced and maintenance is simplified. A new one-in-portrait (1P) version of the tracker is now also available.

“Our system already provides the highest additional profit, optimizes overall yield and improves the lifetime performance of a solar system,” said Mario Eckl, CEO of IDEEMATEC. “We know that our products can withstand even the harshest weather conditions and we are ready to support this with our support services.”

The self-locking action uses a segment gear connected to the drive tube, which locks the tables in place. The decoupled drive transfers dynamic loads to foundation piles and away from gearboxes, extending the life of all components.
