In South Louisiana, Nicholas Complicates Ida Recovery For Homeowners With Leaky Roofs

Forecasters say Nicholas’ storm remnants will linger around southern Louisiana, with another 5 to 10 inches of rain through Friday.

The system isn’t as strong as Hurricane Ida a few weeks ago, but all that water is complicating the recovery process for homeowners around New Orleans.

Many are still waiting for help repairing leaking roofs as a federal aid program is slow to get underway and demand for private contractors rises.
