No Injuries Reported in West Side Nursing Home Fire – NBC Chicago
Chicago fire officials say no one was injured Wednesday night after a fire at a residential facility on the west side of the city.
According to authorities, the fire was reported Wednesday evening in the 3400 block of West Franklin Boulevard. Firefighters say roofing materials caught fire in the building, but the fire was quickly extinguished.
Residents of The Boulevard were evacuated to a separate building and no injuries were reported, authorities said.
According to the facility’s website, “The Boulevard of Chicago provides high-quality, cost-effective medical respite care” for sick and injured homeless adults.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
