West Chester area church roof rebuilt after fire – Daily Local

WESTTOWN — After a fire on June 30, the Advent Lutheran Church invited the public to celebrate the installation of a new roof.

This Sunday, September 26 at 10am, at 1603 Green Lane, the church celebrates the successful replacement of all of the church’s flat roofs with new PVC roofing which is a “greener” alternative to many flat roofs that are now being installed.

Some first responders, the roofer, and community groups sharing the space are expected to gather. Roofer Gary Martini, of Downingtown, will be attending the celebration.

The kindergarten has reopened as planned, Sunday school has resumed and all community groups have been accommodated despite the fire damage.

Pastor Christopher Franz is pleased to welcome the public.

“Thanks to the quick response of the first responders, only the attic and one classroom sustained significant damage,” Franz said.
